Sanford, Fla., May 8, 2023 – After thorough review, Solcium Solar has been approved for accreditation by the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) as a certified LGBTQ-owned business. This 12-month process investigated Solcium’s business practices, qualifications and legal documents to determine their eligibility.
This accreditation was important for Solcium Solar to obtain because of their belief in supporting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. As a minority-, woman-, and LGBTQ-owned business, Solcium Solar understands the importance of embracing various backgrounds, orientations, cultural diversity and genders. Based out of DC, the NGLCC is the largest advocacy organization and exclusive certifying authority for LGBTQ-owned businesses. The process to gaining certification includes providing numerous supporting documents, a site visit from a trained evaluator and prevailing through a committee review.
In order to qualify for the process, a company must be at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by an LGBTQ person(s). Additionally, the company must be independent of any enterprise that is not LGBTQ owned, be headquartered in the United States and be a legal entity of the United States.
